In the summer of 2013, our founder stood amid swirling smoke and half-cooked dough at a backyard pizza party—and thought, “There has to be a better way.” An engineer by trade and a tinkerer at heart, he set aside the umbrella drinks, grabbed his toolbox, and set out to solve uneven heat, excessive smoke, and runaway temperatures once and for all.
